A drive for museums & experience spots
This is a driving route around experiential and participatory spots, where you can experience Japanese traditional arts and crafts, as well as family leisure spots. The goal is “Shirayama-Hime Shrine.” Let’s pray for the safety of the trip and the health of the family.

Katayamazu Onsen
This hot spring area is located on the shores of the Shibayama-gata lagoon, with a view of sacred Mt. Hakusan. Every year from around late October to early February, you can see the beautiful white swans that spend the winter at Shibayama-gata.
Asano Taiko Drum Exhibit
This taiko drums exhibition and experience facility is operated by Asano Taiko, which manufactures and sells various taiko drums. You can experience “beating” the taiko, “seeing” a live taiko performance, and “making” a mini drum.
Kutani Chinaware Ceramic Village
This facility offers information on Kutani ware (Kutani-yaki), Ishikawa’s representative traditional craft. The “Kutani-yaki pottery museum” on the premises offers hands-on classes, such as a potter’s wheel and overglaze painting.
Ishikawa Insect Museum
Many insects from all over the world are on display. In the butterfly greenhouse, the largest on the Sea of Japan side, you can see butterflies flying all year round.
Shishiku Highland
Shirayama-Hime Shrine
This is the head shrine for some 3,000 Shirayama Shrines that exist throughout Japan. The vast precincts contain huge old trees standing in line, with a solemn atmosphere in keeping with sanctuary.
